Accessibility
We want MeMyFood to be usable whatever device, screen size or assistive technology you use.

What we aim for
We work towards the WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines as our benchmark. This is a statement of intent and current practice rather than a certified audit result.
What we do today
- Text and background colours are automatically adjusted to keep readable contrast.
- Layouts are mobile-first and reflow down to small phone screens without sideways scrolling.
- Interactive controls use large touch targets and visible focus styles.
- Images and icon-only buttons carry text labels or alternatives.
- The interface can be shown in the languages listed in the language picker.
Known limitations
Camera-based label scanning needs a usable photo of the packaging, which may not suit everyone. Some AI-generated result panels are dense and are still being simplified. We are working through these.
