Cookies & local storage
A short, plain-language list of what MeMyFood keeps on your device.
Last updated: 31 August 2026
The short version
MeMyFood uses only storage that is strictly necessary to run the app. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share device data with advertisers. Because nothing we store is used for tracking or profiling, no consent banner is required — but you can still clear it all at any time.
What we store, and why
- Sign-in session — keeps you logged in between visits so you are not asked for your password on every page. Cleared when you sign out.
- App preferences — small values such as your chosen language, so the interface loads in the right language straight away.
- Offline cache — if you install MeMyFood as an app, the interface files are cached so it opens quickly and can show a fallback screen when you have no signal.
- Recent scan cache — the last few scan results are kept locally so re-opening a result does not need a fresh request.
- Update marker — a build identifier so the app can tell you when a new version is available to refresh into.
Analytics and advertising
We do not currently run third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If that ever changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent before any non-essential tracking is set.
How to clear it
Signing out removes your session. To remove everything, clear site data for memyfood.com in your browser settings (Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data / Website data). If you installed the app to your home screen, deleting the installed app removes its cache too.
