Allergy & nutrition disclaimer

MeMyFood helps you decide faster — it does not verify what is in your food. Allergy flags, ingredient lists, nutrition values and traffic-light gradings are generated automatically from photos, barcodes and AI models. They can be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong.

Always confirm with the product label, packaging or a member of staff before eating anything you react to. Never treat a missing allergy flag as confirmation that a food is safe for you.

• Manufacturers reformulate products, so a scanned label can be out of date.
• Photos can be blurred, cropped or partly obscured, so an allergen listed on the pack may not appear in the scan.
• “May contain” and cross-contamination warnings are not always printed or captured.
• Nutrition figures for generated recipes are estimates, not laboratory values.
• Portion sizes, cooking methods and substitutions all change the real numbers.

MeMyFood is not a medical device and does not provide medical, dietary or clinical advice. Calorie targets, macro splits and weight-goal plans are general information. If you are pregnant, managing a health condition such as diabetes, coeliac disease or kidney disease, taking medication, feeding a child, or have a diagnosed severe allergy, follow the advice of your doctor or a registered dietitian and use the app only as a convenience.

If you think you are having an allergic reaction, follow your emergency plan, use your adrenaline auto-injector if you have been prescribed one, and call your local emergency number immediately. Do not use this app to assess a reaction.

The app cannot tell you whether a restaurant meal is safe. Always declare your allergy to restaurant staff and ask them to check their own ingredient information.
